On a rainy day, ABC students took a trip to a quaint, gorgeous town called Arrowtown. The students admired the colorful scenery around the small town and enjoyed a typical autumn day. The reason we took the trip was to see Arrowtown’s Autumn Festival and to take a tour led by a nice senior kiwi guide.
I really enjoyed the tour because we found out about important and interesting information. This town was famous for its gold. The guide was passionate about the history of his hometown. We visited the jail built to imprison gold thieves. We also saw the Roman Catholic church and the school founded by St. Mary McKillop.
It was an enriching experience and a really fun trip. This trip also gave us a great opportunity to practise and improve our English.

We took a trip to a calm and gorgeous town called Arrowtown. There was a festival happening so we watched a juggling show and listened to music. Besides that, I enjoy the autumn scenery.
One memory that stands out in my mind is of the black cat. I saw the cat the first time in the street. The black cat had a red collar, but I had no time to play with him.
I almost forgot about the cat, but while I was eating lunch, the cat walked past me through a garden. Nevertheless, I was too hungry too follow him. Haejin, my classmate, followed the cat immediately and told me there were three cats in the garden. I walked to the garden and saw them but one thing that touched my heart was the three cats. It was the two black cats who looked like twins. The only difference between them was that one cat had a collar and the other didn’t. I tried to play with them, but as you know, cats are arrogant by nature. I stopped trying to play with them because I didn’t want them to hurt me! I was quite disappointed, but not completely, because I finally took a cute photo of the cats.

ABC students and I visited Arrowtown to enjoy the beautiful scenery and to learn more about the town. It was my fourth trip there, but I was still excited because I was going with my friends and teachers. Furthermore, the Autumn Festival was being held in Arrowtown, so we could find a lot of funny things to see in the town. However, the funniest thing was, without a doubt, the festival show which started at lunch time. We enjoyed hilarious and amazing performances with our meal. Although, the show didn’t have stunning effects or a grand stage, it was entertaining enough to amuse all of us. The man on the stage showed us a lot of performances, for example juggling on an extremely high unicycle. I was really nervous that he would fall off his unicycle, but he did well which made me surprised. ABC students, Ali and Adrian, helped the guy to climb up onto the unicycle on stage, so every ABC student and teacher had a really good time watching them help with the juggler’s act.
